We’ve added two new videos demonstrating and explaining the Core Methods of Plant species inventory and Vegetation height to our collection. These are two methods that previously didn’t have reference videos, although the rules and procedures for both can be found in volume I of the Monitoring Manual for Grassland, Shrubland, and Savanna Ecosystems.
Plant species inventory is the method used to record the plant species present across the entire area of a plot, including those that may not be captured by other methods that are carried out only along transects.
Vegetation height is commonly carried out at the same time as another Core Method, Line-point intercept, and captures the heights of both woody and herbaceous plants by species.
The full set of Core Methods videos can be found here.
